Hi All!


A lot of times you'll see the NT advocates bring up that NT has a C2
certification (Orange Book standard) from the National Computer Security
Center (NCSC), which is part of the "supersecret" National Security
Agency. (NSA). What they don't mention, and usually don't know because
Microsoft doesn't advertise this, is that the C2 certification was only
done against the Orange Book standards, stand alone computer system, not
against the Red Book standards, networked computer. In short... the
certification only applies to a NT computer that doesn't have a network
connection. Pretty useless, ehh?
