Есть-то есть, только, когда ищешь способ раскидать пакет по файлам, man pkgadd приходит в голову быстрее ж)

В общем да, есть в этом ключике еще и некое "буржуинское" желание "подготовить к установке", чтобы потом можно было сказать просто pkgadd имяПакета.

Ну и в конце концов, функциональность копирования датастрим формата в формат каталога уже встроена в pkgadd и выполняется при установке с датастрима, почему бы и не дать возможность ей попользоваться?
