устанавили solaris 8 x86, поставили дрова для карточки rtl8139
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?lineid=1&famid=3&series=16&Software=True

при попытке что-то пропинговать пинг растет с каждым пакетом от 20 до 1000 
циклично

пробовали поставить другую сетевуху DLink 550TX, тоже самое

сетка тормозит, короче

через loopback пингуется нормально < 1ms
